Looks like fans of The Matrix and Marvel Comics will have something mutual to be excited for, as actress Carrie-Anne Moss has signed up as part of the cast of Marvel and Netflix’s upcoming superheroine television series “AKA Jessica Jones“.

The Canadian born actress, who played Trinity in all three Matrix films directed by The Wachowski’s, will be playing the part of Harper – who is described by Marvel as  “a no-nonsense woman who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica… if Jessica doesn’t completely alienate her first.” More on the announcement can be read over at Marvel.com!

Meanwhile, the first footage of Charlie Cox as Daredevil has arrived, as a short teaser to the upcoming trailer for the television series has gone online courtesy of Netflix! The entire 13 episode run is slated to premiere on April 10, so here’s the first footage of Cox as Matt Murdock in action!

“Daredevil” and “AKA Jessica Jones” are just two of the four shows that will be produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios, with the other half being “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist”. Taking place in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, these four programs will eventually converge into one superhero team called “The Defenders”, which will get its own series after all four individual ones wrap up!
