The Jig is up! Hayley Atwell is coming to APCC Manila 2016!
AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2016 has revealed its 1st celebrity headliner - Secret Agent by day, THE QUEEN OF DUBSMASH by night the one the only Hayley Elizabeth Atwell!
Maybe you’ve heard about it. Maybe not but, in two months time, its about to get down with much ballyhoo as AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2016 takes over the SMX Convention Center this August 26-28 and has revealed its 1st celebrity headliner – Secret Agent by day, THE QUEEN OF DUBSMASH by night the one the only Hayley Elizabeth Atwell!
This British-American Actress best known for her role as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Movies of Captain America and, of course, the star of the TV show Agent Carter, has been in the industry for more than a decade. She was part of the 1960’s remake miniseries The Prisoner alongside Ian McKellen (Gandalf /Magneto) and Jim Caviezel (Reese from Person of Interest). She is also set to take the lead role for an up and coming American Legal Drama entitled Conviction as Hayes Morrison, a lawyer and former first-daughter, with a naughty side as she and her team re-examine cases where there is credible suspicion of wrongful conviction. Joined by Shawn Ashmore, this looks to be a fun show!
But wait there’s more! International cosplayers represent as members of the Cosplayer Authority Global Challenge aka The CAGE are heading their way to the event! Get to met Ani Mia, Lindze Merritt, Riddle and Yugana Senshi Uon! And joining them is world famous crazy-kawaii cool style artist Simone Legno of tokidoki.
Oh and because The CAGE is coming back, expect another grand competition among cosplay enthusiast . With a prize amounting to $10,000 the competitors will have to come up with some serious ingenuity, creativity and quality work to score that premium purse.
For this year’s APCC Manila, Universal Events and Entertainment have even bigger plans than last year as they plan on expanding the convention beyond the comic culture. Expect pop culture lifestyle trends ranging from sports to fashion to various digital and social media all in one roof.
