Nearly 3 years ago, Asus launched the Gladius gaming mouse optimized for FPS gaming and for something that was considered ahead of it’s time, it was a product that was widely received by many as one of the go to gaming mouse for those frantic FPS moments. Fast forward to 2017 and the monster that was is back to take the title as the king of gaming mice optimized for FPS games. With push-fit sockets, Aura RGB lighting with Aura Sync support, and a DPI target button, the Gladius II is a worthy successor to the throne.
The Gladius II features an ergonomic right-handed design with its exclusive push-fit switch socket design for varied click resistance which in turn extends the lifespan of the mouse by replacing worn switches. It uses durable Omron® mouse switches that are rated to at least 50 million clicks, talk about world class durability! 50 million clicks roughly translates to countless hours of gaming madness with you and your friends and throughout that time, you are ensured of great comfort and quality that Asus ROG products are quite known for.
The most interesting feature that the Gladius II has is a DPI switch that allows for instant switching between two sensitivity levels. While it may sound basic, what it also has is a DPI target button which when held down or raised, will adjust the DPI of the mouse to give you pinpoint accuracy for those moments when you just have to be ultra precise and speaking of precise, the Gladius II uses a high-end 12000 DPI optical sensor to ensure the speed, resolution and accuracy needed for an optimal FPS gaming experience.
Customizing sensitivity settings not enough for you? The Aura RGB lighting system lets you choose from a palette of over 16 million colors and several preset lighting effects to reflect their own style and personality and with Aura Sync enabled, you can complete the look of your whole gaming setup and all of these settings can be adjusted via the ROG Armoury software, a one stop dashboard that gives you full control of all your ROG products.
Cheap cables have been the bane of gaming mice everywhere but the Gladius II package includes a 2-meter braided cable for desktop use and a 1-meter rubber cable coupled with a detachable cable design that provides easy cable management and lets users pack easily without having to worry about bending and damaging the cable and all of this is bundled with an easy-to-carry ROG pouch for convenient protection and portability on the go.
