Marvel’s Spider-Man becomes fastest-selling game of the year in the UK!
PlayStation has another hit on its hands!
With the insane amount of hype surrounding Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PS4, we expected it to be one of this year’s hottest sellers. What we didn’t expect it to do is become this year’s fastest-selling title so far (well in the UK at least); an incredible feat considering it’s a PS4 exclusive.
In a report by gamesindustry.biz, Spider-Man soared to the top spot of the UK charts shortly after release. While actual numbers were not revealed, gamesindustry.biz confirmed that Spider-Man is the fastest-selling game of 2018 in the UK, beating out Far Cry 5 — which was also available on Xbox One and PC.
Spider-Man’s sales numbers in the UK so far is almost double that of fellow PS4 exclusive God of War in the same amount of time. Impressive, especially as God of War is one of this year’s hottest sellers in its own right.
While PlayStation has yet to announce worldwide sales figures, we won’t be surprised if it surpasses God of War; Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes worldwide after all. Plus, Spider-Man is definitely a game that you should play if you’re a Marvel fan in any way.
