With character data leaked the past week revealing her inclusion to the game as well as returning characters Jin Kazama and Devil Jin, Josie is the latest warrior to be introduced to the popular 3D fighting game series by Bandai Namco, and her design and name speak VOLUMES of her Philippine heritage. Obviously named after Filipino national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, Josie uses Eskrima/ Kickboxing as her martial arts style, and her costume is patterned after the flag of the Philippines to boot, with the yellow, red, and blue colors being a dead giveaway.

Here’s the debut trailer from the official Tekken Channel for Josie Rizal!

Tekken 7 had its wide arcade release last March 18 in Japan, and Josie will be added to the roster in updates soon!
