Batman: Arkham Knight PC release suspended by Warner Bros.

Very Bad News arrives for gamers who pre-ordered and/ or purchased the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight", as several unresolved glitches and bugs have forced Warner Bros. to suspend the game, effectively removing it from Steam and encouraging retailers to remove it from shelves immediately.

After quite the shaky start due to variously distributed DLC exclusives and the cancellation of the Batmobile Edition release of the game, another setback has hit Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and Rocksteady Studios’ coup de grace entry in the Batman Arkham series that is “Batman: Arkham Knight”, and it’s a major one in the form of the PC version of the game being very buggy and glitchy, which required Warner Bros. to suspend sales of the game immediately.

The report has appeared in Kotaku and Comic Book.com, and is making waves online.

After the game was released for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC last June 23, several PC users began reporting several inconsistencies in that version of the game, including audio glitches and frame-rate drops. As a result, Rocksteady Studios has pulled the game from Steam, and those who pre-ordered and bought the game already are entitled to a full refund thanks to the service’s new policy.

A statement was released by Warner Bros. on the official Batman Arkham forums to address the concerns:

Dear Batman: Arkham Knight PC owners,
