Hodoor Doorstopper on Kickstarter

First, let’s get this out of the way… SPOILER ALERT!!!
Though the title of this article already says a lot about it, if you’ve been living under a rock… or behind closed doors, STOP READING NOW! This article contains some spoilers on the HBO A Game of Thrones TV Series and may ruin your viewing experience. But I’ll try to keep it under wraps as much as possible.

Sooooo are you guys still there? Good! For all you avid aGoT fans, the HBO TV Series recently gave us one of the biggest shockers: The tale behind Hodor‘s name. In a nutshell, Hodor heroically sacrifices himself to hold down a door while Bran and Meera escape attacking White Walkers. As this happened, Bran was using his powers, tapping the mind of a young Hodor. Something went wrong, which causes the young Hodor to have mental trauma and seize, all the while hearing Meera’s shouts of “Hold the Door!” through the link of Bran’s powers.

It was a well made scene giving viewers all the feels that it inspired aGot fan, Tony Wang and his friends to start a Kickstarter to produce a Hodor Doorstop! You read that right. They are trying to raise funds to produce 6″ “Hodoor” Hold the Door Doorstops!

The project has garnered quite some backing and Tony’s team is trying to get this well underway, as they discuss what type of materials to use and they are even looking into the possible Intellectual Property issue!
So if you’re a big fan of the series and the gentle giant, you might want to consider backing this Kickstarter!
