If you are following the fluff, Ana is Pharah’s mother and one of the six founding members of Overwatch, alongside Torbjörn Lindholm, Gabriel Reyes, Jack Morrison, Liao, and Reinhardt Wilhelm. Check out the origins video above!

Like her daughter, she bore a tattoo of an Eye of Horus as a symbol of protection.

By the looks of it she has a bit of history with another Overwatch character, Widowmaker, who seems to be directly responsible for the loss of her right eye.

According to Blizzard’s description of the character, Ana is a “battle-scarred veteran who supports her teammates from a distance using a unique and highly specialized collection of weapons.”

And she has weapons aplenty! As long-range support healer, she primarily uses the Biotic Rifle, a weapon designed by Torbjörn that uses the biotic technology found in Mercy’s Caduceus Staff and Soldier: 76’s Biotic Field healing ability.  The long-range darts are capable of healing allies and dealing damage to her opponents.

Not only that, she also uses a Biotic Grenade to do area-of-effect (AOE) healing to her teammates and at the same time preventing enemies from being healed. It also boosts all incoming healing for friendlies. Neat trick huh?

To round up her arsenal, Ana will also be armed with a Sleep Dart that, well you guessed it, puts targets at bay for a short period of time… To those who want to cancel other players’ ultimates you might want to check this out!

Speaking of ultimates, her Nano Boost grants an ally with improved damage and movement, and resistance to attacks. Support all the way!

Check out the video below for a closer look at what the character has in store for you once she becomes available!
