This Christmas, Consider Reading to Children This Call of Cthulhu/ Seuss-Inspired Book

Make this your Christmas ritual and spread the holiday cosmic horror cheer!

Now this looks interesting! The Call of Cthulhu, H.P. Lovecraft’s masterpiece, and arguably his most popular work, will now be getting a children’s book adaptation! And no, this is not gonna just your ordinary tome, as this one will be written and illustrated Seussian-style!

I mean, just check out the sample below, which is a nod to the opening line of Lovecraft’s Call of Cthulhu:

From the product description:

“The iconic Lovecraft story, The Call of Cthulhu, is now a children’s book!

The late Professor Angell’s research has been discovered by his grand-nephew, Francis Wayland Thurston. Francis delves into the papers and discovers a bas-relief depicting an odd creature with an octopoid head, spurring him to read on. He learns of the raid led by Inspector Legrasse and the voyage of the Vigilant, captained by Gustaf Johansen.”

A lot of effort (and rhyming) was put into this, and RJ Ivankovic really captured the best of both worlds!

H.P. Lovecraft’s Call of Cthulhu For Beginning Readers is 108 pages and will be available in a full-color, hard-cover presentation which you can order at the Chaosium store right NOW! What’s the best way to spend Christmas than with a bit of cosmic and unimaginable horror cheer, of course!

Merry Christmas, everyone! Keep on geeking!
