Latest Nintendo Switch Update Adds Video Capture and Save Data Transfer

The New 4.0.0 update adds a lot of features that the fans have been waiting for.

ONE Store Beta Now Available

Nintendo just rolled out the latest 4.0.0 version for the Switch, and it is one update to please the fans for sure! Check out the video below:

One of the new features that fans have been waiting for is that you can now have the ability to capture and edit videos! After which you can then share it to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

There’s one catch though. First is that you can only record up to 30 seconds of gameplay, and only a select lineup of games are supported as of this writing. The games are:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • ARMS
  • Splatoon 2
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

One more feature added here is that finally, you can now transfer both user profiles and save data to a brand new console. A bit of a warning though, it is said that the process is a one way travel from one system to another.

Here’s a statement from Nintendo’s support page:

“Once the process is complete, the user information, the associated save data, and the software purchased with the user account that is transferred will no longer be available on the source console.”

Last but not the least, You can now pre-purchase select games on the Switch, saving you the time when a certain game finally releases. Also, there’s some new icons coming from the upcoming game Super Mario Odyssey. Breath of the Wild gets some new icons as well.
