The Road to The Nationals, a series of tournaments which serves as the prelude to the Philippines’ first franchise-based E-Sports league, has announced the Tekken 7 official Console Qualifiers!
Tekken 7 leg of the Road to The Nationals began last September 22, 2018 at First5 Lounge in Cebu City and will conclude in the Grand Finals on October 26-28, 2018 at E-Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) SMX Convention Center Pasay.
The Tekken Franchise has always been widely popular not only in the Philippines but all over the world. Tekken 7 in particular is loved and well-received by the community. There’s no doubt that Tekken 7 is the top fighting game in the country and it comes as no surprise that it was selected as the final Console Qualifiers of the inaugural Road to The Nationals.
Tekken 7 joins DOTA 2 (PC Qualifier) and Mobile Legends (Mobile Qualifiers) as the main game titles for the Road to The Nationals. The Tekken 7 Console Qualifiers is a bracket-based double elimination with each round being a first to three. Winners from each qualifier will represent their region at the Grand Finals at ESGS.
Here’s the schedule for the Tekken 7 Console Qualifiers:
- Sept. 22: First5 Lounge, Cebu
- Sept. 29: Game Patch, Davao
- Sept. 30: Captain Poy’s, CDO
- Oct. 6: Playbook Makati, Makati
- Oct. 13: Secret Base, Marikina
- Oct. 14: Playbook Makati, Makati
- Oct. 26-28: Grand Finals at ESGS SMX Convention Center, Pasay
