Meet Liyab, Globe and Mineski’s new esports team!

Liyab will have reps for three games -- LoL, AoV, and Hearthstone!

The PH esports scene is about to heat up even more! Globe Telecom and Mineski recently announced their latest partnership to create the PH’s newest esports team — Liyab.

Globe and Mineski’s latest venture was officially unveiled yesterday in a media event at the Globe HQ. There, Liyab’s teams for three different esports titles were unveiled. The titles Liyab will be competing in are: Arena of Valor, League of Legends, and Hearhtstone.

 

The Liyab Arena of Valor team consists of the following players:

  • Jeremiah “1717” Querubin Camarillo
  • Jevan “Bents” Delos Santos
  • Kevin “Gambit” Kio Dizon
  • Miguel “Miggie” Banaag
  • Jeejay “Peaceboy” San Jose Ordiales
  • Lawrence “Rubixx” Gatmaitan
  • Robert “Reality” Evangelista (Manager)

 

Meanwhile, Liyab’s League of Legends team is composed of the following players:

  • Edrian “DoeDoii” Brancia
  • Eric “Exosen” Allen Gubatan
  • Bae “Gari” Yong-jun
  • Joo Young “GGAMZA” Lee
  • James “Hamezz” Santos
  • Lance “Kaigu” Hernandez
  • Gerald “Tgee” Gianne Gelacio
  • Akarawat “Cabbage” Wangsawat (Coach)

 

Finally, Liyab’s Hearthstone representative is Cara “Cara Cute” Rechelyn De Dios.

 

Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu said the creation of a professional esports team is
part of the company’s vision through the Globe Games and Esports Program to
accelerate the development of esports in Philippines. “Liyab will be the symbol of the
country’s burning passion and pride in global esports events,” Cu said. “Liyab, which translates to ‘Blaze,’ represents the team’s intense passion and focus in the realm of esports.
