If you’re using a PC, chances are you’re familiar (or are currently using) a UPS. If not, well a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) is a device that provides backup battery power in case of a power outage. This is a useful device to have for PC users, especially for those who work at home, as you’ll be able to avoid losing files when a power outage occurs.
Personally, I don’t have a UPS as I use a laptop at home. UPS devices aren’t cheap, and having one just for my router is a bit overkill; though this does mean that I’m outta luck when a power outage hits and I need to submit important files for work.
Enter the APC by Schneider Electric’s Back-UPS Connect.
The Back-UPS Connect is a small UPS device that’s made for routers. It functions as a power adapter replacement that lets a WiFi router run for up to 2 hours when a blackout happens. This means it’s a must-have for professionals who work at home; and it’s a big plus for gamers to boot as it guarantees uninterrupted connectivity.
The APC Back-UPS Connect is an incredibly useful device for routers, so much so that ASUS has partnered with Schneider Electric to bring the device to even more users. With the partnership, purchasing select ASUS routers will give buyers PHP 200 off the UPS Back-UPS.
