Konami announces the TurboGrafx-16 Mini console

And it comes with 50 pre-loaded games!

Ever since Nintendo released the NES and SNES Classic Mini, lots of video game companies released their own miniaturized retro consoles, from Sony with the PlayStation Classic to SEGA with the Genesis Mini. Now, Konami has also joined in the fun with ther new retro release, the TurboGrafx-16 Mini.

The TurboGrafx-16 Mini is similar to the other mini consoles in that it’s basically a small TurboGrafx-16 pre-loaded with classic games. Compared to the others though, Konami’s upcoming mini console will have a larger library of games at 50 — 24 games in English and 26 games in Japanese.

The pre-loaded games in the TurboGrafx-16 Mini are:

Aside from the 50 pre-loaded games, the TurboGrafx-16 Mini will feature different display modes, including CRT scanline effects (for added retro feel). Inside the box, the console will come with a controller, a USB cable, and an HDMI cable.

The TurboGrafx-16 Mini will be released in Europe and in Japan as the “PC Engine CoreGrafx mini” and the “PC Engine mini”. All three console variants will come with 50 games though. As for release date, the console will be released in Europe and Japan on March 19, 2020 priced at JPY 10,500 (around USD $97 or PHP 4,974).
