Heads up, Mega Man fans! Capcom recently unveiled a collaboration with Japanese footwear brand ASICS for a Mega Man-inspired collection featuring a pair of Gel-BND sneakers and various apparel.
The highlight of the ASICS x Mega Man (or Rockman in Japan) collection is no doubt the Gel-BND sneakers. This pair of runners comes in Mega Man’s signature blue hue, complete with various details inspired by the gaming icon.
The sneakers come in a two-tone blue upper made with patent leather. The signature ASICS pattern at the side and the “GEL” heel marks are also transformed to be more pixelated, owing to the game’s 8-bit origins. Other design elements of the sneaker include Katakana on the left pair’s tongue that spells ASICS, as well as a large midsole.
Joining the Gel-BND are a range of tees, a hoodie, and a drawstring bag, all of which feature retro Mega Man designs.
The ASICS x Mega Man collab will be released in Japan on November 1. The Gel-BND sneakers are priced at JPY 12,000 (around PHP 5,655) while the apparel/accessories are priced starting at JPY 3,500 (around PHP 1,650).
