It’s been nearly a decade since SEGA released a game in the Sakura Wars series, so it’s no surprise that fans are very much excited for the upcoming title, Project Sakura Wars. From the looks of it, SEGA is going all out with this new title, and not just on the gameplay side.

Aside from enlisting Bleach creator Tite Kubo to create the design of the main cast, SEGA also tapped other renowned artists for the design of other characters. One such artist is Shigenori Soejima, the character designer of the Persona series who has created the look of the new Project Sakura Wars cast member, Hakushū Murasame.

Check out her character introduction here:

Fans of the Persona series will definitely get a familiar vibe with Murasame, though her look still very fits the art style of the rest of the cast. As for her voice actor, Murasame will be voiced by veteran VA, Miyuki Sawashiro (Sinon in SAO, Mordred in Fate/Aporcypha, etc.).

Aside from Soejima, the artists SEGA tapped for Project Sakura Wars include the likes of Ken Sugimori (art director of the Pokemon series), Yukiko Horiguchi (K-On!), Noizi Ito (Shakugan no Shana), and many more.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Project Sakura Wars is a cross-genre video game that combines gameplay elements from visual novels, dating sims, and mecha-RPGS. The game is set in a fictionalized version of the Taisho era (1910-1920s Japan), specifically in Ginza.

Project Sakura Wars will be released for the PS4 in Japan on December 12, 2019. The game will then be released internationally in Q2 2020.
