Last Monday, Pinoy Dota player Zedrik “Jeff” Dizon from the Ateneo De Manila University got to face off against defending The International champion Johan “N0tail” Sundstein of OG in a 1v1 shomatch during the Lupon Civil War event. Jeff got to face off against N0tail after winning the Red Bull R1v1r Runes tournament.

While most Dota fans probably expected N0tail to win, in a stunning turn of events, Jeff defeated N0tail in an exciting best-of-three 1v1 series!

The event was streamed live at Kuya Nic’s Facebook Page back in July 20, and at first, it seemed like N0tail was easily going to take the series in the first game. In the second round though, Jeff struck back and won the Winderang mirror match 3-0. Finally, the third game saw both players as Undying, and Jeff narrowly won the game 3 decider 3-2.

Here is the full match recap:

  • Match 1: Juggernaut vs Juggernaut (3-0) – Winner: N0tail
  • Match 2: Windrager vs Windranger (0-3) – Winner: Jeff
  • Match 3: Undying vs Undying (2-3) – Winner: Jeff

To be fair, N0tail plays the position 5 role (support) instead of mid. Still, Jeff’s win was incredible; after all, you can’t win two Tis in a row without being incredibly skilled mechanically!
