Great news, Pinoy gamers! Gariath Concepts has just announced that Square Enix is joining ESGS 2020 Online! Specifically, some of the most popular game developers from Square Enix are joining this year’s ESGS, including the likes of Yoshinori Kitase (director of FF6, FF7, FF10, and more), Naoki Yoshida (director of FF14: A Realm Reborn) and more!
Square Enix’s online showcase at ESGS 2020 will be hosted by none other than Shinji Hashimoto, Brand Manager for Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. Hashimoto will be joined by the following developers:
- Ichiro Hazama: Director – Division 4
- Kingdom Hearts
- Yoshinori Kitase: Vice President – Creative Business Unit 1
- Final Fantasy VII Remake
- Naoki Yoshida : Vice President – Creative Business Unit 3
- Final Fantasy XIV

While there’s no word yet on what the Square Enix developers will present at ESGS 2020, this is definitely exciting news for Pinoy gamers given how beloved these developers are by JRPG fans. Plus, Kitase and Yoshida are currently working on the next part of FF7 Remake and FF16 respectively, so here’s hoping we get more info on those two upcoming titles at the event!
