Convert Your Unused Globe Mobile Data into Points

Globe reinvents how we can enjoy their rewards program even more with this new Data to Points conversion move.

ONE Store Beta Now Available

During a virtual an online press event held last week, Globe Telecom showcased it’s wide array of optimized services and perks especially in how they reinvented the Globe Rewards program, a loyalty program that gives tangible perks to Globe’s prepaid and postpaid subscribers.

This is just one of the many efforts Globe has been building up to in the past couple of years to ensure that the majority of Filipino telco users get ample connectivity especially in this crucial pandemic era.

“Today, Filipinos have better connectivity with truly proactive service here and abroad, powered by the largest mobile network and the fastest-growing 4G network in the country. More advanced technologies are also in place such as 5G and fiber plus pervasive network improvements,” shared Globe’s Deputy Chief Commercial Officer Issa Guevarra-Cabreira during the first-ever Globe Innovation Fest.

Aside from establishing various 5G improvements within the country, Globe also reached out to key places abroad to craft partnerships with partner telcos in UAE and Thailand so that international Globe subscribers (when it’s safe to travel) can opt-in and take advantage and enjoy 5G connectivity whenever they travel abroad.

Perhaps what drew our attention were the revamped Globe Rewards with their latest Data to Points conversion solution. This is particularly helpful for subscribers who month-on-month have a couple of GBs left on their data plan. Instead of expiring, unused Data can be converted to Globe Rewards points which you can convert to Gcash if you want to. Currently available for Pre-paid subscribers, this GBs to Point system will be rolled out to open-access Globe Postpaid plan subscribers very soon. For Postpaid subs, in particular, the conversion rate is 10 points for every 1GB converted.

Only 10 points? Well, you can a lot with those 10 points. While 1 point is almost always equivalent to 1 peso conversion under the Globe Rewards system, there are instances where 10 points or less can get you a whole lot more. There are loads of things to discover under the new revamped Globe Rewards system so if you have not been taking advantage of that, you might want to do so today. For us, personally, we’ve been using it to buy gaming pins via Razer Gold.
