You’re the protagonist of the story, and it’s up to you break a magical time loop with your trusty heroes, and reliable deck of cards. Mechanics-wise, Loop Hero plays like most card-based RPGs. To some extent, even roguelikes and lites. Your hero traverses a pre-generated path, whacks baddies in the face, and gains equipment from every battle–spicing things up, and giving you more ways to kick ass.
Where it differs is in the presentation:
It’s an adventure with magic, mystery, and sweet retro vibes to boot. The roguelike, deckbuilding mechanics add an extra layer of strategy, making sure you don’t bull rush your way through every encounter. Start things off at your campsite, build it from the ground up, and eventually, hopefully, save the world.
