Unboxing the Horizon Forbidden West Collector’s Edition

Here's an unboxing of the Collector's Edition of Horizon Forbidden West, one of the most highly anticipated games of the year.

ONE Store Beta Now Available

While the official launch of Horizon Forbidden West just days away, our friends from PlayStation Asia surprised us by sending over this mammoth of a box to our HQ to be one of the first in the world (and the first in the Philippines) to unbox the Horizon Forbidden West Collector’s Edition!

If you’re one of the lucky gamers that was able to pre-order the Horizon Forbidden West Collector’s Edition, here’s what you’ll be greeted with:

First up, we have the large Collector’s Edition box which features artwork of Aloy facing off against a Tremortusk and Tenakth rebels.

Once you open the box, you will be greeted with… another box. This box features the key art of Forbidden West on all sides, making it a display piece in and of itself.

Once you open the inner box, you will see the massive Tremortusk statue. Though you will need to assemble it a bit.

Here’s a detailed look at the statue:

As you can see, this massive machine statue is a sight to behold, and it has a ton of detail which you’ll appreciate more once you get to play the game.

To complement the Tremortusk, the Collector’s Edition also comes with an Aloy statue that’s to scale with the machine. This means you can get creative with posing them or when taking photos.

The box itself even doubles as a display case for the Tremortusk!

Below the box, you will find a special Steelbook case, as well as a Mini Art Book.

The Steelbook case features another detailed artwork of Horizon Forbidden West. Though take note that the case does not have a disc inside. Instead, the Horizon Forbidden West Collector’s Edition has a digital game code inside for PS5 and PS4.

Meanwhile, the Mini Art Book features lots of interesting concept and character art for the game.

Finally, the box comes with several DLC codes for the following in-game items:

  • 2 Special Outfits (Carja Behemoth Elite and Nora Thunder Elite)
  • 2 Special Weapons (Carja Behemoth Short Bow and Nora Thunder Sling)
  • In-game Resources Pack including ammunition, potions, and travel packs
  • In-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike Piece
  • Exclusive Photo Mode pose and face paint
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • Digital Version of The Sunhawk, the first Horizon Zero Dawn graphic novel

And there you have it! That’s what you’ll see inside the Forbidden West Collector’s Edition. This is already a great package for avid collectors, but there’s one that’s even more impressive — the Regalla Edition.

This version of the game comes with most of the same stuff in the Collector’s Edition, but with a special Tremortusk statue along with more collectibles. Here’s a list of all the items in the Regalla Edition:

  • Horizon Forbidden West (Digital) PS4 and PS5 versions
  • Horizon Forbidden West SteelBook Display Case
    • Download code for the game will be supplied via voucher in the box.
  • A Regalla-themed, custom sculpted Tremortusk and Aloy statue
    • Statues will require some assembly; detailed instructions will be provided with the box!
  • Replica Focus and custom stand
  • 2 Art Print Cards
  • Replica Sunwing and Clawstrider Machine Physical Strike Pieces
