The VCT APAC 2022 Challengers Stage 1 Playoffs is starting on March 10, and it will feature the top 20 teams in Asia Pacific as they face off to represent the region at VCT’s first global event of the year, Masters 1 Iceland.

Here are the participating teams at the VCT APAC 2022 Challengers Stage 1:

Thailand: XERXIA, Made in Thailand, FULL SENSE

Philippines: South Built Esports,NAOS Esports, Action PH

Indonesia: BOOM Esports, BOY WITH LOVE, ONIC Esports

Vietnam: CERBERUS Esports, Fancy United Esports, Team Big BAAM

Singapore/Malaysia: Paper Rex, Bleed eSports,NN

Taiwan/Hong Kong: Oblivion Force Griffin E-Sports

South Asia: Velocity Gaming, Global Esports

Meanwhile, here’s a breakdown of the format and the schedule for the event:

VCT Challengers Stage 1 – APAC Finals Playins:

  • Date: March 10 – 13
  • Format: 8 teams will play in GSL format. 4 successful teams will proceed to the next stage.

VCT Challengers Stage 1 – APAC Finals Groups:

  • Date: March 16 – 21
  • Format: 16 teams will play in GSL format. 8 successful teams will proceed to the knockout

VCT Challengers Stage 1 – APAC Finals Knockouts:

  • Date: March 24 – 27
  • Format: 8 teams will go through a series of double elimination brackets.

The final 2 teams in the VCT APAC 2022 Challengers will be invited to Masters 1 in Iceland. Aside from representing Asia Pacific, the two top teams will also get the lion’s share of the USD 150,000 prize pool.
