vivo launches the Y01 budget smartphone in the Philippines

vivo has just announced that the Y01 budget smartphone is available now in the Philippines for only PHP 5,299. Even at this affordable price point, the Y01 promises to be a capable smartphone in terms of performance.

The vivo Y01 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor, and it has a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD display.

As for its battery, the Y01 has a large 5,000mAh battery which should let the phone last for well over a day of use (especially as it only has a Full HD screen). The Y01 also has a nifty 5V/1A reverse charging feature, meaning it can be used as a power bank for your other devices.

For its cameras, the Y01 has an 8MP rear camera along with a 5MP front camera. Both cameras feature a range of photo modes, as well as beautification features.

The vivo Y01 is now available for PHP 5,299 at vivo stores in the Philippines. The first 1,000 customers will also receive FOMEE earphones with their purchase.

The vivo Y01 is also avaialble online at vivo’s Shopee ecomm store. It will be available exclusively for two weeks starting April 30. Following this, the vivo Y01 will be released at vivo’s Lazada store.
