ONE Store Beta Now Available

It’s been about half a year since we got the official cast for Netflix’s live-action adaptation for One Piece. Intriguingly enough, we finally get a sneak peek at the show’s working set.

Check out the set for the Netflix One Piece adaptation here:

The trailer features actor Iñaki Godoy, who’ll be portraying Luffy, and showrunners Matt Owens and Steven Maeda. It’s quite interesting to see how they’ll be bringing Eiichiro Oda’s immense world into the world of live-action. We get some concept art of the crew’s Going Merry, Alvida’s Miss Love Duck, and an actual full-scale Baratie–which honestly, looks pretty cool.

The show was first announced last September 2021 via Twitter, and has garnered various reactions from the One Piece community ever since. The projected first episode out of ten will be titled “Romance Dawn.”

One Piece is an ongoing anime series that follows the exploits of Monkey D. Luffy, an intriguing young man with a bizarre affinity to rubber. By that, we mean he’s basically made of it. He, and his rambunctious bunch of scallywags journey across the East Blue Sea in search of the coveted, titular One Piece; a treasure only befitting the true “King of the Pirates.”

Netflix has yet to drop any official release date, but we’ll make sure to keep you posted. Bon voyage for now.
