Riot Games announces new content series to celebrate Valorant Champions 2022

To celebrate the three APAC representatives at Valorant Champions 2022, Riot Games is holding a range of activities in the region.

To celebrate the three APAC representatives at Valorant Champions 2022, Riot Games is holding a range of activities in the region.

For this year’s Valorant world championship event, three teams will represent APAC: Paper Rex, XERXIA, and Boom Esports.

To celebrate these three APAC teams’ Champions 2022 berth, Riot is organizing a suite of activities and content for fans in the region from late August to early September.

For starters, Riot has collaborated with a Singaporean beatboxer Dharni to produce an APAC Rising music anthem. The song will drop soon via Valorant social media.

Riot will also commission murals with leading artists in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. You’ll be able to spot them at:

Finally, here’s a quick rundown of the rest of the APAC events:

  • Exclusive APAC Champions Swag: Riot will be producing exclusive APAC Champions swag kits to commemorate this year’s tournament. Fans can get their hands on custom snapbacks, t- shirts, lanyards and mousepads through giveaways from participating media outlets in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Road to Champions Docu-Series: Get a behind-the-scenes look into a “day in the life” of two of APAC’s most prominent pro-players, Jing from Paper Rex and Sscary from Xerxia, as they prepare for one of the biggest tournaments of their careers.
  • APAC ‘22 Our Story, Gain an insider perspective from the team representatives of Paper Rex, Xerxia and Boom Esports. This is the first time team representatives will be brought together to relive some of the best moments from the year so far, as well as discuss their hopes for VCT Champions. Discover what it means for these players to be representing the entire region on the global stage.
  • IRL Paintball Competition: We invited XERXIA for a scrim to prepare them for their journey to VALORANT Champions 2022. Not an ordinary scrim however, as XERXIA will take on a group of all-star influencers in a 5v5 IRL Paintball Competition mimicking all aspects of what is to be expected of during champions whether from Shoutcasters, Coaches, and even tactics.

Valorant Champions 2022 is happening in Istanbul, Turkey from August 31 to September 18, 2022.
