Konami just announced HD remasters for Suikoden I and Suikoden II

At Tokyo Game Show 2022, Konami just revealed an HD remaster of the PlayStation 1 classic – Suikoden! The game is officially titled Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars and it will release for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in 2023.

From the looks of it, character sprites and background illustrations have been given the HD treatment. There has also been some quality of life improvement made like an auto save feature, a fast-forward feature for combat and a conversation log.

However, hidden under the momentary peace the fires of a new war continued to smolder…
Suikoden originally came out in 1995 on the PlayStation console. It was met with great acclaim from fans and spawned a sequel for the 32-bit hardware.
