Disney launches final installment of ‘From Our Family To Yours’ Christmas short featuring a Filipino family

To mark the Christmas season, Disney today released “The Gift”, a three-minute animated short featuring a Filipino family.

This new short serves as a Christmas ad for Disney’s lineup, and it’s also the final installment in the ‘From My Family To Yours’ trilogy. In case you’re unfamiliar, the trilogy of shorts follows Nicole, a Filipino girl.

In the first short released in 2020, Nicole and her Lola were introduced, and it showed how festive Filipino Holiday traditions were passed down through the generations. The next is short from last year, followed a grown-up Nicole and her Max and Ella, as she introduces stepdad Mike into their home.

Finally, this last installment sees the family prepare for the arrival of a new baby.

This new Disney Christmas short also features the song A Little More which is performed by Encanto’s Jessica Darrow

“The holidays hold such a special place in my heart and what better way to come together with family and loved ones than through the joy of music? It was such a wonderful song to perform, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the heart-warming story which concludes this inspiring trilogy,” said Darro.

This new animated short is made to support Disney’s long-term charity partner Make-A-Wish. It premieres on today across TV and Digital plus Disney’s own channels in 46 countries across Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia.

In related news, Disney+ is set to launch in the Philippines this month.
