ONE Store Beta Now Available

Octopath Traveler II is out now, and for big JRPG fans and collectors, this Collector’s Edition is a must-have!

For this quick unboxing and tour of the new Octopath Traveler game’s Collector’s Edition, we have the Switch version. Unlike the first game which was a Switch exclusive at launch, this sequel is already available on multiple platforms.

So, let’s dive into the package!

First off, we have the Collector’s Edition box. It features the game’s beautiful cover art at the front while the back has the Octopath Traveler II logo. At the sides are the sprites of the eight main characters.

Once you open the box, you’ll be greeted with the mini soundtrack CD and the physical game copy for the Switch.

While the physical game copy is pretty much the same as the Standard Edition, the mini OST is quite special for collectors. Aside from featuring a nice, minimalistic cover art, the soundtrack includes 24 variations of Extended Battle Tracks that are not included in the complete soundtrack which will be sold separately.

Under these two items is another box containing what seems to be either mini-figures or chess pieces at first glance. But more on that later.

For now, let’s take a look at what’s beneath, and it is an Art Album for the game. Essentially, this is an art book that’s perfect for any gamer’s coffee table as it features beautiful artwork of the game and its main characters.

Unlike other art books, this one is special as it is designed to open 180 degrees, meaning it can extend fully so you can appreciate the beautiful artworks even more.

Finally, let’s move back to the box that contains what seems to be mini figures. But upon opening, you’ll discover that they’re actually mini-busts.

Specifically, there are eight mini busts in the package — one for each of the new travelers. The busts are quite detailed and they capture each character well.

Take note that while they look heavy, they’re not made of metal. Instead, they’re plastic meaning you don’t have to be extra careful with them if you want to show them off on your desk or shelf.

As a bonus, the box that the busts come in features a map of the game’s world, perfect as a background for the busts if you want to display them.

Now, here’s a look at all the contents of the Collector’s Edition in one photo:
