Following its launch back in January, Square Enix announced that the new Forspoken DLC In Tanta We Trust will be released in May.

This DLC aims to give players a reason to return to Athia. Though this time, players will face off against enemies alongside Tanta Clinta. The DLC also features new attack combos and possible combat strategies with this new character.

The DLC’s premise is described as:

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust will serve as a prequel to the main game and takes place 25 years prior the events of Forspoken. Continuing her search for a way to eradicate the Break from Athia once and for all, Frey finds herself following a mysterious voice that leads her to a place that somehow transports her to the Purge of the Rheddig, the legendary battle that devastated Athia and eventually drove the Tantas to madness. Accompanied by Tanta Cinta and a new set of magical abilities, Frey must uncover the answers and save Athia once more – and attempt to save herself.

While it may have gotten mixed reviews, Square Enix is aiming to improve Forspoken through this DLC as well as with an upcoming update that promises to enhance overall performance, graphics, playability, and more.

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC will be released on May 26, 2023, and it will be available to players who have the Digital Deluxe edition of Forspoken. As a bonus, Digital Deluxe edition owners will get early access to the DLC on May 23, 2023. Meanwhile, players who own the base game will be able buy the DLC separately on the 26th.
