Ahead of its wide release next week, SM Cinema announced a fan screening for Suzume that’s happening on March 4, 2023.

The fan screening was revealed via the official SM Cinema Facebook page, and it will happen on March 4 at 6PM at SM Megamall Cinema 4.

As with most special anime screenings, this early showing will come with cool freebies that are sure to delight any and every Makoto Shinkai fan.

Specifically, each ticket for the Suzume fan screening is priced at PHP 1,200, and it comes with a door hanger, a t-shirt, and an A2-sized poster.

Tickets for the fan screening are available via the SM Cinema website, but you have to act fast as there’s high demand for this film!

Suzume is the latest movie from Makoto Shinkai, the renowned anime director of Your Name and Weathering With You. Released in November in Japan, Suzume was a huge hit as it got great reviews and dominated the box office in the country during its run. It was even part of the recent Berlin International Film Festival competition — the first for an anime movie since Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away back in 2001.

In case you miss out on the premiere, don’t worry as Suzume is getting a wide release in the Philippines beginning in March 8, 2023. A full cinema list is expected to be shared closer to its release date.
