24 of the world’s best Rainbow Six Siege teams are headed to Denmark for the BLAST R6 Copenhagen Major which begins on April 24.

At the Major, teams from nine regions will face off for glory, as well as for the lion’s share of the USD 750,000 total prize pool.

The Blast R6 Major Copenhagen will feature a brand-new format that has three phases and 24 teams. While the first two phases will be played without an audience, fans will be able to attend the final phase from May 5 to 7 at the Forum Copenhagen.

Here’s a rundown of the phases, formats, and schedules:

Phase 1: Play-In – April 24 to 27 

The first phase is the play-in where 16 teams will face off in a group stage. Here, only the top eight teams will move on to Phase 2

Here are the 16 teams qualified for Phase 1 of the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen:

Phase 2: Playoffs – April 29 to May 3 

Next, the top 8 teams from Phase 1 will join the 8 other teams who have directly qualified to Phase 2. Instead of a group stage format, the second phase will have a Swiss format. While this means less games, each game will have much higher stakes.

Here are the eight teams that are directly qualified to Phase 2:

  • FaZe Clan (Brazil)
  • Team Liquid (Brazil)
  • Dplus (South Korea)

Only the top 8 teams from Phase 2 will move on to Phase 3.

Phase 3 Finals – May 5-7

Finally, Phase 3 will take place in front of a live audience at the Forum Copenhagen. There, the eight remaining teams will face off in best-of-three games. This is also a single-elimination bracket, so there are no second chances for teams. As for the finals, it will have a best-of-five format.
