At the 2023 PlayStation Showcase, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was finally showcased.

A significant first look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage was given with a gameplay trailer featuring assassin protagonist Basim Ibn Is’haq (voiced by Lee Majdoub) as he traverses the environment and fights his way through enemy soldiers in 9th Century Baghdad. Roshan (voiced by Shohreh Aghdashloo) was also featured as the voiceover for the trailer.

While AC Mirage has been revealed for quite a while already, this was the very first time it was shown to the public. Ubisoft promises that the game is a stealth-focused adventure designed as “an homage to the first Assassin’s Creed games.”

The story revolves around a 17-year-old Basim, a cunning street thief who eventually joins an ancient organization that will change his life forever. Basim was one of the most prominent characters in 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Mirage is set before the events of Valhalla and will tell the origin story of Basim before we eventually encounter him as Eivor.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released on October 12, 2023, for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-orders are now open for those who are interested.
