With the game’s official release just over a week away, it seems that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has leaked online.

Specifically, several posts on social media sites and forums revealed that copies of the game’s physical edition have been released early in some regions.

This has also led to possible ROM uploads of the game that are playable on PC emulators. These are seemingly the source of gameplay videos of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that have been leaked online (though we won’t share them here due to possible spoilers).

Early game copies being released in several regions aren’t new as these have been the source of leaks and spoilers for games previously. But it’s interesting to note that the game’s release is over a week away, so these copies have been released very early.

Because of this, fans should take caution when browsing social media sites, and especially forums as there are likely lots of discussions and possible spoilers being shared there.

Tears of the Kingdom is the long-awaited sequel to Breath of the Wild, the 2017 Legend of Zelda. Because of how well-received the BotW is, many fans are incredibly excited for Tears of the Kingdom, especially as it promises to expand upon the first game’s already excellent gameplay and open world.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12, 2023, on the Nintendo Switch. In case you haven’t yet, you can still pre-order the game right now.
