ONE Store Beta Now Available

To end Summer Game Fest 2023, Square Enix shared a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and it features brand-new gameplay footage.

While it’s not a full gameplay showcase like with Spider-Man 2 during the PlayStation showcase, it’s still an impressive trailer as it finally shows gameplay and combat footage of Cloud and company as they explore the world outside Midgar.

Along with the gameplay footage, the trailer also showed some cutscenes that highlight some of the major changes that will likely happen in the story.

Check out the new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth trailer here:

From the looks of it, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be huge, though it’s not confirmed if it will be an open world. Though even if it’s not an open world, the game seems to have huge segments that are fairly open.

The trailer also showed some locations and sequences that should be familiar to those who played the original. Plus, the trailer also featured various characters, including Yuffie (who is confirmed to meet Cloud), as well as Elena who was also shown to be an enemy that players will face.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will release in Early 2024, and it will come on two discs. This indicates that this upcoming game will be massive in scale.

Fingers-crossed that we get a proper gameplay showcase soon.
