PlayStation Access Controller to release this December

Pre-orders for this customizable accessibility controller will be available this week.

ONE Store Beta Now Available

Following its previous announcement, the customizable Access Controller from PlayStation is confirmed to release this December.

In case you missed its reveal, the Access Controller is a new controller for the PS5 with an unusual design that’s far from your typical gamepad. This is because this controller is designed with the accessibility community to give users a highly customizable device for those with disabilities. After all, some disabilities result in a difficult time with the more typical gamepad design of the DualSense.

Specifically, this unique controller features a wide range of swappable buttons, as well as an adjustable stick length for its analog. It’s also designed for mounting on a wide range of surfaces, not to mention that it has expandable inputs, meaning users can connect two  Access controllers together. Users can even combine an Access Controller with a DualSense, as well as add extra accessories.

Here’s a rundown of the features to give you a better idea of what to expect:

The Access Controller by PlayStation will be released on December 6, 2023. Though the controller will be available for pre-order beginning July 21 in the Philippines with a price tag of PHP 5,090 (that’s only a bit over PHP 1,000 more than the standard DualSense).

PlayStation also confirmed that the controller will be available for pre-order in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam at the following prices:  SGD 128.90 / MYR 449 / IDR 1,649,000 / THB 3,090 / VND 2,599,000.
