ONE Store Beta Now Available

The new Rurouni Kenshin (2023) has finally started its broadcast in Japan, and new episodes are being streamed on Prime Video.

In case you missed it, the Rurouni Kenshin anime was officially revealed last year with a new trailer, and its July 2023 release was announced a few months ago.

Ahead of its release, the series also got a special cinema screening in the Philippines which featured appearances from voice cast members Makoto Koichi (Yahiko Myojin) and Taku Yashiro (Sanosuke Sagara).

Now, the anime’s first two episodes have been released, and if you’re wondering where to watch it, the new Rurouni Kenshin anime is now streaming Prime Video!

Specifically, the new Rurouni Kenshin series is available on Amazon’s streaming service in selected countries in Asia, including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and others.

Prime Video doesn’t exactly have a complete list of countries where the anime is available, but if you’re in Asia, chances are that you can watch the show there.

As for those outside Asia, Rurouni Kenshin is streaming on Crunchyroll. This includes the US, EU, Latin America, and more.

The 2023 Rurouni Kenshin anime is made by Liden Films (the studio behind Tokyo Revengers), and it is essentially a reboot or a remake of the original 90s anime that’s best known as “Samurai X” here in the Philippines.

While the first two episodes aren’t all that different from the 90s version, this new anime promises to have a story that’s more faithful to the original anime.

The new Rurouni Kenshin series will feature 24 episodes and it will get new episodes every week from July to Decmeber 2023.
