It has been a year since the first season was released, and now, Disney+ announced that I Am Groot Season 2 is coming this September.
In case you’re unfamiliar, I Am Groot is an animated Disney+ original series that stars the adorable and ever-lovable Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy (GOTG). Specifically, the series is composed of 5-6 minute episodes, with each following Baby Groot’s adventures which take place between the first and second GOTG movies.
After a year since the first 5-episode season, I Am Groot is back with a new season. You can check out the trailer here:
The second season’s premise is described as:
“The troublemaking twig returns to mischief in the second season of “I Am Groot.” This time, Baby Groot finds himself exploring the universe and beyond aboard the Guardians’ spaceships, coming face-to-face—or nose-to-nose—with new and colorful creatures and environments.”
Returning as Groot is Vin Diesel. And much like the first season, season 2 will have 5 episodes, with each being around 5-6 minute sin length. This makes it a perfect short watch if you want a quick dose of Groot cuteness.
I Am Groot Season 2 will be released worldwide on September 6, exclusively on Disney+.
