Inka Magnaye voices the Scarab in Blue Beetle PH release
The PH Release of the Blue Beetle will include some character lines in Tagalog as well!
Warner Bros. Philippines has revealed that Filipina voice talent and content creator Inka Magnaye will voice the Scarab in the Philippine release of the upcoming superhero movie “Blue Beetle”! Let’s break down the details on the Blue Beetle PH release.
Blue Beetle is an upcoming superhero film from the DC Extended Universe. It follows the story of Jaime Reyes who becomes a host for a Blue Beetle scarab which, in turn, grants him super powers via an exoskeleton kind of powersuit. The scarab (called Khaji-Da) is indeed sentient and guides Jaime Reyes into better controlling his newfound powers so it does have a voice. The original version of the film features the Scarab being voiced by singer/actress Becky G. But for the Philippine release version of the film, it will be voiced by none other than the amazing Inka Magnaye.
Inka Magnaye is a Filipina talent who is been recognized for her stellar voicework with various known brands (such as Philippine Airlines, Pond’s, SMART, Nissin, etc) and will definitely bring an added layer of charm to the Scarab. The Blue Beetle PH release version will also be including some character lines in Tagalog so this is definitely something that Filipino fans can look forward to. This will also mark the very first time a Philippine-based Filipino talent has done voice-over work in a DC film and is a huge milestone.

The PH Release of the “Blue Beetle” opens in local cinemas on August 16, 2023.
