Hololive EN’s Mori Calliope reveals official Metal Gear Solid collab

In what is exciting news for Hololive and Metal Gear fans, popular VTuber Mori Calliope (aka Calli) recently teased on X (formerly Twitter) that she will have an official collaboration with Metal Gear Solid.

Calli revealed the news with a cool teaser on X which features herself in a conversation with Solid Snake via a Codec Call that’s taken straight out of Metal Gear Solid. Along with the video, Calli teased the collab by asking fans “Are you ready for Sneaking?”

Sadly, there are no other details yet regarding Calli and MGS’s collab. Based on the Metal Gear series’ upcoming remaster release though, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

As previously revealed, the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection will be released next week. For those who missed it, this collection is a compilation of remasters of Metal Gear Solid 1-3.

Given this, it’s likely that Calli’s collab is part of Konami’s promotion for the remaster collection. As for what to expect, it’s possible that it will be special outfit like Calli’s recent One Piece collab, possibly with a corresponding livestream.

It’s interesting that Mori Calliope is the Hololive VTuber chosen for the Metal Gear Solid collab. After all, when it comes to Metal Gear, Hololive fans will likely think of Pekora as she’s well-known for streaming games in the iconic series. Still, it makes sense that Calli is headlining the collab. After all, she’s no stranger to projects like this.

The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch on October 24, 2023.
