Honkai: Star Rail is now available on PS5
Honkai: Star Rail is finally out now on PS5, and it features cross-save and cross-play functions.
Following its release back in April, HoYoverse finally released Honkai: Star Rail on PS5, meaning players on the current-gen PlayStation console can finally get their gacha fix on their living room TV.
The game’s PS5 launch coincides with the release of version 1.4 titled Jolted Awake from a Winter Dream.” In case you missed its reveal, this new update adds new playable characters, among other content.
As for the PS5 version of the game, it promises to take advantage of the PS5’s powerful hardware as it achieves native 4K resolution, as well as enhanced visual effects. For instance, The Alchemy Commission sees the game seamlessly deliver Volumetric Fog and high-quality water features, making for a more lifelike representation of the world. Star Rail on PS5 also features faster loading times, as well as other features.
Meanwhile, PS5 players are in for a treat as version 1.4 introduces the new playable characters Jingliu, Topaz & Numby, and Guinaifen.
This update also features a new event set on Jarlio VI, and it’s called the “Interastral Tournament Festival.” Here, players can dive into the world of Aehterium Wars where they can collect Aethers Spirits which can be trained and developed into helpful allies in battle.
Honkai: Star Rail on PS5 features cross-play and cross-save functions for all platforms. It’s now available for free on the PlayStation Store, as well as on PC, iOS, and Android.
