Konami and Numskull team up for official Metal Gear Solid ‘Shadow Moses’ Cologne
Now we wait for a Naked Snake cologne that smells like the jungle.
Metal Gear is seeing quite a resurgence lately thanks to the Master Collection, and to further fuel the hype, Konami unveiled the official Metal Gear Solid cologne.
Specifically, this cologne is called “Shadow Moses,” and it’s a unisex fragrance that’s officially licensed and made by Numskull, a popular brand that carries lots of official merch. Aside from this cologne, Numskull also carries a bunch of other Metal Gear goodies, including the cute MGS rubber ducks.
This fragrance may be the most unexpected merch for the popular stealth game franchise though. As for what it smells like, it’s not exactly inspired by Solid Snake (even if it’s box art features Snake on it). Instead, as its name implies, it’s inspired by Shadow Moses, the setting of the original PS1 title.
According to the website, the cologne has “aromatic hints of myrrh, fir balsam and patchouli with undertones of oakmoss, cedarwood, amber and musk.” From this description, this cologne should be a promising winter scent — perfect given that Shadow Moses is a cold and snowy place.
The Metal Gear Solid “Shadow Moses” cologne is available now on JustGeek for GBP 39.99 (around USD 48.51 or PHP 2,765). Sadly, the cologne is only available in the EU and the UK through that site. For now, there’s no word yet on US and Asia availability.
On the flip side, the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 is available now worldwide on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
