Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III multiplayer will be free to play this weekend

In case you’re still on the fence when it comes to trying the game out, Activision announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III multiplayer will be free to play this weekend, meaning players can get to try out the new Season 1 content.

Specifically, the free trial period will be from December 15 to 19, 2023. There, players will be able to try out a wide array of multiplayer content, including the new Season 1 inclusions like the Meat map, as well as the new War mode and the co-op Modern Warfare Zombies mode, among others.

To give you a better idea of what to expect, here is the complete list of maps and game modes that will be playable during the free period:

  • 6v6 Core Maps: Terminal, Rust, Highrise, Shipment, Afghan, Meat.
  • Ground War Maps: Popov Power, Orlov Military Base, Levin Resort.
  • Core Modes: Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Ground War, War.
  • Playlists: Rustment 24/7 (Shipment and Rust), War Mode, 6v6 Moshpit (featuring Highrise, Meat, Afghan, Terminal), Ground War, Modern Warfare Zombies.

The Modern Warfare III multiplayer free access will be available on all platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
