Chainsaw Man Reze Arc movie announced with new trailer

The Chainsaw Man anime is finally returning, but with a movie instead of a second season.

It has been over a year now since the first season aired, and finally, a Chainsaw Man movie was announced that will cover the Reze arc.

The new movie was announced at Jump Festa 2024. There, an official teaser was shown which features snippets of scenes from the upcoming arc. While there are no full clips from the upcoming film, the teaser is still a must-see as it gives fans a nice taste of what to expect.

The upcoming Chainsaw Man Reze arc movie may come as a surprise to some as fans may have expected the continuation to be a season. Though this makes sense based on the manga. That’s because, based on the pace of the anime’s first season, the Reze (or Bomb Girl) arc will be a perfect fit for a feature-length film. Plus, this should mean the rest of the Chainsaw Man Part 1 story will be covered quite comfortably within a 12-episode season.

For now, there’s no word yet on a release date for the Chainsaw Man movie. It’s likely that we’ll hear more about it in 2024.
