Acer delivers esports action and entertainment at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024
Here's what went down during the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 during the weekend.
We witnessed the opening of the biggest event that Acer Predator has put together; The Predator League 2024 has come back bigger than ever!
The Predator League 2024 hosted the semis and finals of Valorant and Dota2 where 8 teams fought for glory and the lion’s share of USD 400K. But what set the league over and above, are the headliners and guests that they invited to perform for Valorant and Dota Fans.
Kicking off the league, Felip and Ylona Garcia took the stage for an electrifying performance that shook the ground.
All festivities were held at the Mall of Asia Arena where several activity booths were placed throughout the floors for guests to enjoy while waiting for venue entry. There was also a showcase of indie-made games where people could try out games in development made by smaller creators. Archery and duck target shooting were also some of the activities you can enjoy.
Acer also had a showcase of their upcoming products which were not yet released to the market, offering a wide variety of products more than just computers. In an interview, the President of Pan Asia Pacific Operations Mr. Andrew Hou says that Acer is no longer just an IT company, Acer is more of a lifestyle brand. What they have coming definitely reflects that statement.
When night fell, a show match between Ppop sensation, SB19, and Internet personalities, Team Payaman took place. Teams were shuffled to balance out skills since Team Payaman really plays Valorant while only two members of SB19 play. Teams are as follows, Team Josh includes CongTV, Yoh, Chibiby, Pablo, and Josh while Team Burg consists of Junnieboy, BossKeng, Justin, Ken, and Burg. The teams went up against each other in an exciting game of Valorant, Team Josh proved their aiming skills by winning the game.
The festivities were capped off with an exhilarating performance by Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo and P.Pop Sensation SB19 singing the official theme song of Predator.
Acer truly embodied being a lifestyle brand by covering all areas of entertainment at the Predator League 2024. Fans could expect more events like this in the near future as Philippine Managing Director Ms. Sur Ong Lim mentioned two more homegrown events happening this year. Mr. Andrew Hou then announces the host country of Predator League 2025, Malaysia.
