The SEGA Publisher Sale – January 2024 is now live on the PlayStation Store

SEGA had lots of sales in 2023, and it seems this year will also bring lots of great offers as the SEGA Publisher Sale – January 2024 is now live on the PlayStation Store.

Previous SEGA sales often feature big discounts on popular titles from the Like a Dragon and Persona series. That’s not the case with this new Publisher Sale as the games with special offers are lesser-known games, with the exception of one incredibly popular title from nearly ten years ago.

Here’s a rundown of the games that are part of the sale:

New Sakura Wars

First up, we have New Sakura Wars (or simply Sakura Wars), the latest entry in the popular 90s series. This game features an all-star voice cast, as well as character designs from notable artists such as Tite Kubo (Bleach), Shigenori Soejima (Persona), and Ken Sugimori (Pokemon), and more. Aside from being a must-play for fans of the 90s Sakura Wars titles, it serves as a pretty good entry point to the series for newer fans.

Alien: Isolation

Alien: Isolation is perhaps the most popular game in the sale lineup as it had a massive grip on the streaming and let’s play world when it was released nearly ten years ago. If you haven’t played it yet, or want to relieve the heart-pounding tension of being hunted by a Xenomorph, the game is currently on sale for the PS4.

Shenmue I & II

Before the Yakuza series, there was Shenmue which offered a unique and immersive action-adventure experience. For those who are interested in trying out this 90s gem, the remasters of the first two games are also part of the Publisher Sale lineup.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

Also part of the sale is Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, the remake of the original Odin Sphere which was released for the PS2. This game is an action-RPG that features beat ’em up elements, and it is made by Vanillaware, the studio behind 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and the upcoming Unicorn Overlord.

Dragon’s Crown Pro

Finally, we have Dragon’s Crown Pro, the HD port of Dragon’s Crown for the PS3 and PS Vita. Yes, this is another Vanillaware game that should also be right up the alley of fans of the studio’s works.
