Based on the best-selling manga by Ken Wakui titled “Tokyo Revengers”, this film sequel once again deals with Takemichi Hanagaki (played by Takumi Kitamura) in a time travelling mission to change the course of events that lead to Hinata’s murder in the hands of the Tokyo Manjikai Gang. Takemichi, as an adult, finds out that his first love Hinata Tachibana (played by Imada Mio) has been murdered. This news comes to him amidst a low point of his life where he struggles with problems on both his career and personal life. Suddenly, he time travels 12 years into the past to his student days and now is doing everything in his power to prevent her death.

The sequel is actually one that is split in 2 parts – one movie each – and has actually already released in Japan last year. Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Destiny originally launched on June 2023 while the 2nd installment, Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Decisive Battle, opened on August 2023. Both parts of the sequel will be coming to the Philippines, first starting with Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Destiny this month (January 17, 2024) then Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Decisive Battle next month (February 7, 2024).
