Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo out now, and you can play as Sephiroth

The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo is out now on PS5 for free, with a bigger update to come soon!

ONE Store Beta Now Available

The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth State of Play was streamed earlier today, and with it came the release of the game’s new demo which features Sephiroth as a playable character.

Yes, aside from playing as Cloud, players will be able to experience Sephiroth gameplay in the demo. That’s because the demo will feature an extended flashback of the Nibelheim incident.

What’s more, the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo will also get an update later this month which will let players explore part of the Junon region, making it a must-play for fans who can’t wait for the full game’s release.

The demo is no doubt a major highlight, but the State of Play stream itself was a massive one as it featured an 11-minute showcase of gameplay. While the game retains the same core mechanics as Remake, Rebirth massively expands the scale as the game’s world is enormous based on what was shown in the demo.

Moreover, there will be tons of minigames to try. Plus, the game’s beautiful graphics were also highlighted, meaning this game should be a showstopper when it gets released on the PS5 at the end of this month.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released on PS5 on February 29, 2024.
