Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth shipped over 1 million units in its first week!
Aside from being the best-reviewed entry yet, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has also become the fastest-selling game in the series. In just one week, the game has shipped over 1 million units worldwide!
Specifically, SEGA confirmed that Infinite Wealth got one million units shipped and sold in just seven days — a major feat for the series. After all, Yakuza: Like a Dragon (or Yakuza 7) had sold over 1.8 million units as of December 2023, meaning the latest game in the series got over half of the previous game’s lifetime sales in just one week.
To celebrate the major milestone, SEGA and RGG Studio announced a free in-game Celebratory T-Shirt Set that will be released for free to all players. More details, including when it will be available, will be revealed at a later date.
With Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth becoming the fastest-selling game in the series, it’s fair to say that Like a Dragon’s popularity is at an all-time high. Coupled with the fact that the game has gotten critical acclaim means the future is definitely bright for this series, meaning we should expect even more entries to come soon (be they mainline or spinoff entries).
