Genshin Impact Version 4.5 is coming on March 13

HoYoverse announced that Genshin Impact Version 4.5 will be released on March 13, and it will bring a new seasonal event and the new 5-star Geo character, Chiori.

As with all big version updates, this latest one will feature a seasonal event, and it will be an interesting one given its focus on management. Of course, no version update will be complete without a new character, and 4.5 won’t disappoint in that regard as the new 5-star has an interesting kit.

The new seasonal event is titled “Alchemical Ascension” and it will see Travelers answer the call of the Knights of Favonius to assist Lisa in managing an alchemical potion shop.

In this event players are tasked with cultivating ingredients, concocting potions, and selling them to customers. The aim is to help the business prosper and grow. As it increases in revenue, players can expand the business’ scale. Think of it like a management-style game within a game.

There are rewards to be had in this event of course, and these include the exclusive 4-star polearm “Dialogues of the Desert Sages.” Players can also enjoy a nice break from adventuring with the “Feline Fortress Furrdyssey” where they can play with cats, as well as the “Rolling Crossfire” event that lets them engage in canon-firing gameplay.

As for the new character, her name is Chiori, a 5-star Geo sword wielder. Chiori has an interesting set of abilities as she can summon her automaton doll and design assistant “Tamoto” in combat to deal DMG. She can also summon an additional “Tamoto” if there’s a Geo Construct nearby.

Meanwhile, her Elemental Burst lets her draw her twin blades to deal AoE Geo DMG. Plus, she can increase the party’s movement speed if one of the members is wearing a non-default outfit or wind glider; this is perfect given her job as a fashion designer.

Players will be able to roll for her in the Version 4.5 Event Wishes alongside Arataki Itto during the first half. After these two, Neuvillette and Kaedehara Kazuha will be available in the second half.

Finally, Version 4.5 will bring some quality-of-life additions and optimizations such as the “Training Guide” in the Paimon Menu. This features suggestions and tips for players based on their party’s level, weapons, artifacts, and talets. There will also be a new interface for character’s Talets that will display upgrade materials.

Genshin Impact Version 4.5 will be released on March 13 for Genshin Impact on PlayStation® PC, Android, and iOS.
