While this film premiered in Sydney on March 26, its wide release is only happening in most countries later this week. To give you a better idea of what to expect, you can check out the film’s trailer here:

While Luca Guadagnino has directed lots of acclaimed films in previous years (including Call Me By Your Name and Bones and All), Challengers is a bit different as it’s a romantic-thriller sports film that follows Tashi Duncan (played by Zendaya). In the film, Tashi becomes a coach after a career-ending injury, and she is currently married to a tennis champion who is in a losing streak.

Soon, her husband will face off against his former best friend who is also the the ex-boyfriend of Tashi. As the trailer shows, this won’t be a straightforward romance as there will be lots of juicy intrigue.

Challengers will be released in the Philippines exclusively in Ayala Malls Cinemas on April 24, 2024 — that’s a couple of days earlier than its official US wide release. You can check out Ayala Malls Cinemas’ Sureseats website to get tickets.
